iPage Coupon Codes Updated for October 2016:
iPage offers some extremely low prices when you sign up for 2 or 3 year plans of their Essential Hosting packages. You will pay a bit more up front, but when you divide the total by the number of months in the hosting term it works out to less than $2 a month which is probably the lowest price you are going to find for web hosting.
If you are hesitant about committing to a long term hosting contract keep in mind that iPage offers an Anytime Money-Back Guarantee. If you cancel your hosting plan at any time during the contract they will refund you the remainder of the hosting payment terms, and if you cancel within the first 30 days of signing up for your hosting plan they will refund you in full.
Instructions: Click on the Coupon Button below and a new window will take you to iPage. Either the special pricing will automatically take effect, or it will ask you for a promo code. iPage’s Essential Hosting Plan
The Essential Hosting plan is iPage’s basic hosting plan that will work well for most people who are starting out with running a website or blog. It’s designed to be beginner-friendly and you get access to a free drag and drop website builder (maximum of 6 pages), as well as 1-click installation for a lot of popular applications like WordPress and others available through the MOJO Marketplace. I wasn’t able to find any technical details on what type of servers they are running or anything like that, but I suppose that sort of information is not really going to mean much to most entry level users anyways.
You are allowed to host an unlimited number of domains and have as many MySQL databases on your Essential Hosting plan which is surprising at this price level, most hosts will limit you on their basic plan and then force you to upgrade to a more expensive plan if you want to host more sites. You also get an unlimited number of email addresses at your domain name included which is also usually a paid add-on at most other hosting companies. To sweeten the pot further they also offer you advertising credit with Google Adwords, Yahoo/Bing Sponsored Search, and Facebook Advertising.
In my personal opinion this is probably the best value shared hosting plan on the market right now.
How To Use These Coupon Codes:
iPage’s coupon system is very different from most eCommerce websites. On standard websites, you will see a box in the shopping cart that says: “enter promo code”. You enter the code, click “Apply”, and then wait to see if the code is valid and working.
iPage’s system instead works by taking you to a special “restricted area” on the website (see the image above). There you will then enter one of the promo codes you found on our site, and then the new, lower pricing will automatically take effect.
iPage is a web hosting company that tends to focus mostly on small-business clients. However, iPage has a reputation for being one of the safest hosting companies around. They offer tons of free features to help beef up your security. iPage offers free domain verification (an anti-phishing security measure), optional daily malware scans, and spam protection. They are similar to Godaddy and Hostgator in their offers to new customers: Free $125 in advertising credits, free drag and drop site builder, free e-commerce software (shopsite).
iPage does offer a couple of features that others don’t:
- Free Domain Registration ($15)
- Free Domain Verification
- Free Email Set up
Location of iPage’s Datacenters:
iPage has two massive data-centers in the Boston, MA area. For security reasons, this Google map doesn’t reveal the exact location of the data centers themselves. iPage also utilizes redundant routers from all over the world to help speed up requests for websites from all over the world. iPage’s website gives a good explanation of how their network is run and what technologies they use to make sure websites run fast.
Green Hosting Initiatives from iPage:
iPage is a certified green host. But how do they accomplish this? First off, all of iPage’s servers, data-centers and more are powered by wind energy. iPage also has a 200% promise, whereby they purchase twice as many Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) to offset all of the energy the company uses. If you already have a website hosted with iPage, you can add a “green certificate” to your website to your audience that you are eco-friendly.
Here’s some great customer reviews from Whoishostingthis.com. A lot of people posted about the quick help they received from the live chat support as one of the reasons they were happy with their service from iPage. One negative mentioned is that shell access (SSH) is not available, however I think they probably decided not to include it given that iPage’s market is more beginner and less technically inclined users. If you are a more advanced user who requires shell access you may want to look at their VPS or Dedicated Server plans.
TopTenReviews also gives a glowing review of iPage’s hosting services.
“A hosting package that offers unlimited features and an interface that is as easy to navigate as it is to understand, iPage is an outstanding provider that is certainly a top contender among web hosting services.”
