How to Use Servage Coupon Codes:
Where do you enter these promo codes? Every online retailer seems to place the “Promo Code Box” in a different area of their website. We’ll show you exactly where the box is located, and how you will know if the coupon has been applied.
On Servage’s homepage, click “Get Started”. Right away you’ll be taken to a page where you will enter a coupon code. This is before you select a hosting plan.
If the promo code is valid, you’ll get this message:
“The coupon you have entered is valid and grants you a discount on the first invoice. See below for the benefits.”
If the code is invalid, you’ll get this short-but-to-the-point message:
Scroll down to the bottom of the page and you’ll see that the discount has already been applied to the hosting plans that the coupon code applies to:
Select which hosting plan you want, and then you know the rest: enter your payment information, and complete the transaction. Boom! You now have a hosting account with Servage!
More about Servage Hosting Company:
Servage was founded back in 1998 (a long time ago in internet years!) and now hosts approximately 200,000 websites worldwide. Their name comes from combining the words ‘Serve’ and ‘Age’. This may sound obvious but I thought it was a combination of ‘server’ and ‘wattage’, meaning that their servers were very powerful.
Servage had a scare back in 2010 when numerous sites hosted with them were hacked with malware. Servage responded by upgrading their software to a state of the art operating system called Servage OS, which is a custom build version of a Linux OS. It has since become of the safest and highly rated hosting platforms in the world. Servage touts it’s ‘97% customer satisfaction’ on their website.
Servage regularly publishes Servage Magazine, a blog that gives useful advice about web design, development, etc. Thanks to the switch to Linux, the company is now 100% open source.
Servage privately owns their own Data-center in a “seismic inactive area”, according to their website. But that’s all the details they will give out. For security reasons, most hosting companies don’t give out the exact address of their Datacenters (they also always have 24/7 Security as well), but Servage won’t even tell you what country their Data-center is located in.
It’s safe to assume that their privately-owned Datacenter is located in Europe. They do mention that their network is directly connected to the major “Internet backbones“: major networks like AT&T, Vodafone, and over a dozen others.
Ways to Connect to Servage on Social Media:
Servage Hosting on Twitter – This is more than your standard hosting company Twitter account. Servage is quite active here, giving out tips for webmasters on CSS, SSL and other issues that only webmasters understand. They also retweet lots of relevant and useful articles for small business owners. This is their best and most active social media account.
Servage on Facebook – This account is pretty similar to their Twitter account, only there’s less engagement going on. If you’re not on Twitter, then this is the best place to connect to Servage.
